3-9 was a human male listener who served the Galactic Empire's Information Office under the command of the controller LT-319 in 2 BBY.
Biography[]
3-9 was born sometime around the Clone Wars and lived under the Galactic Empire.
Sometime prior to 2 BBY he joined the Imperial ranks as an Imperial Intelligence Officer. He served aboard an IGV-55 surveillance vessel targeted at gathering intelligence on the rebels for Grand Admiral Thrawn.
In 2 BBY he was stationed on the ship when C1-10P and AP-5, rebel droids, infiltrated the Imperial Security Bereau station on Killun 71. Chopper was detected by 3-9 who told his superior LT-319. The controller and 3-9 managed to take control of Chopper but to their dismay he did not hold the location of the rebel base they had been searching for.
Later on Hera discovered Chopper had been hacked and before he could install a data spike into the Ghost's main computer to find the base location, Hera reversed the data feed back to the surveillance vessel and 3-9 reported that the circuits were overloading. The ship exploded, killing 3-9 in the blast.
