AP-5 was an RA-7 protocol droid that served on a Republic attack cruiser during the Clone Wars as an Analyst droid. He was downgraded to Inventory droid on an Imperial cargo ship, working for the Galactic Empire but later joined the Rebellion after meeting C1-10P.
