Adi Gallia was a female Tholothian Jedi Master and a senior member of the Jedi High Council during the last twilight decades of the Galactic Republic. Despite her renowned skill and prowess, she was killed in action during the latter half of the 3 year long, devastating conflict that was the Clone Wars.

Biography []

Adi Gallia was a distinguished jedi master present on the jedi high council during the Naboo Crisis in 32 BBY and during the Separatist Crisis a decade later. She was also present during the Battle of Geonosis, though leading the space battle aboard her starfigher with squadrons above the planet.

During the Clone Wars she became a Jedi High General in charge of a battalion of the 91st Reconnaissance Corps. On one occasion, she, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker teamed up and rescued fellow jedi master and council member Eeth Koth from the clutches of General Grievous above the planet Saleucemi where she engaged Grievous in a brief but vicious fight which was cut short due to rupturing of the ship's corridor where they were fighting.

On another occasion aboard her cruiser, she dueled with and was captured temporarily by the confederate General while in transit from the planet Aleen, before a squadron lead by High General Plo Koon and Commander Wolffe successfully rescued her. Later in the war she once again found herself paired with Obi-wan Kenobi in the pursuit of the resurfaced sith lord Darth Maul and his brother Savage Opress.

While Kenobi faced off against Maul, Gallia fought Savage who eventually telekinetically blasted her into the hard side of a shipwreck, staggering her before goring her with his head horns and finishing off the esteemed consular by driving his lightsaber through her back, ending her life. Obi-Wan later retrieved her lightsaber for use along with his own to defend himself from the sith brothers simultaneously and escaped when Maul's new pirate allies turned against them. Gallia's vacant seat on the jedi high council was soon filled by Stass Allie, another Tholothian jedi master and Adi's niece and former apprentice.

Behind the Scenes[]

Although she appears in Episode II during the jedi council scene (with re-used footage from episode I), Gin Clarke, the actress who portrayed Adi Gallia in Episode I was not available for Episode II filming. A second actress, Lily Nyamwasa was cast for the role, but looked noticeably different, therefore a new character was created - Stass Allie. This similarly happened with the case of Eeth Koth and Agen Kolar, but didn't happen with other more prosthetic-heavy characters like Plo Koon, Saesee Tiin or Kit Fisto who were portrayed by different actors in each film.
