Aiolin Astarte was a non force-sensitive female human and the twin sister of Morit Astarte. During the Galactic Civil War she and her brother were trained by Cylo as possible replacements for Darth Vader by Palpatine's side.

Morit and Aiolin faced Vader off after Cylo turned on the Empire on the planet of Shu-Torun but she was pushed into the lava by her own brother since only one of them could defeat Vader and take his place.

Vader pulled her out of the fire and told her to speak. She explained all she knew of Cylo's plans to him and he put her out of her misery with one blow from his lightsaber.

Biography[]

Aiolin and her brother Morit Astarte were born as part of the Astarte line of Celanon sometime before the rise of the Galactic Empire. When the line chose the Separatist side of the war, they feared the Galactic Empire when it rose and defeated the Separatist so they handed Aiolin and her brother over to the Empire as a gift. Cylo took both of them into his care.

Following the Battle of Yavin, Darth Vader killed Cylo-IV which awakened Cylo-V and Vader arrived at their secret base discovering all of Cylo's experiments including the twins. Darth Sidious arrived and watched as Vader faced off all of the possible replacements for himself created by Cylo.

The twins fought off Vader with technology and lightsabers although they didn't use the Force. Vader managed to fight off many of them but because Morit wanted to kill Vader himself he killed a Trandoshan that appeared to have the upper hand in a fight with the Sith Lord.

After serving the Galactic Empire for while, Aiolin and Morit were sent to Shu-Torun to aid Vader. When Cylo revealed he wasn't loyal to the Empire, Aiolin and Morit duelled the Sith Lord. When they were separated from their oponent, Morit pushed his sister into the lava, telling her that they wouldn't kill Vader together, but he would.

Vader used the force to pull her out of the lava and she told him that Cylo had collaborated with the Ore Barons they had been fighting on Shu-Torun and had betrayed Emperor Palpatine. Vader mercifully put her out of her misery with his lightsaber.
