Ajan Kloss was a jungle moon located in the Outer Rim Territories. Scouts from Alderaan deliberately hid the world from the Imperial Senate and it became a potential rebel base for the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Following the Battle of Endor, Leia Organa suggested the Alliance use it as a temporary outpost and they settled down there in the next year. Following the defeat of the Galactic Empire on Jakku and the rise of the First Order around thirty years later the Resistance used the moon as an outpost to hide and rebuild following their defeat at the Battle of Crait.
Description[]
Ajan Kloss was a jungle moon and therefore was covered with a single jungle-biome of Broodleaf trees and was known for it's large cliffs and hilly terrain. It also harboured large oceans in some sections. Ajan Kloss often experienced large thunderstorms and rainy weather.
History[]
Long before the Resistance arrived on the planet, a species called the Kloss lived in the Klosslands and hollowed-out caves.
Prior to the outbreak of the Galactic Civil War, Alderaanian scouts charted Ajan Kloss, which was located in a patchily explored stretch of space off the Celanon Spur. However, the scouts deliberately hid it from the Imperial Senate because it was short-listed as a potential home for a rebel base like Yavin 4 and Dantooine, but the shifting battlefront against the Empire precluded Ajan Kloss from being used during the conflict, yet it served as a training ground for Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa at the latter's suggestion sometime after the Battle of Endor.
After the formation of the New Republic, Ajan Kloss served as a quiet waypoint between Republic outposts.
The Resistance maintained a presence on Ajan Kloss during the war against the First Order. The mission to find Exegol was launched from the Resistance base, and when the planet's location was uncovered, the Resistance forces scrambled. They later returned with the allied fleet for the victory celebrations.
Geography[]
Ajan Kloss was located in the Outer Rim Territories and was part of the Cademimu sector. Two moons orbited the sphere and Ajan Kloss in turn orbited a gas giant known as Ajara. Ajara, while not ridiculously close, emits enought faint light to feed sustenance to the plantlife. The Alliance and Resistance bases were located in an area known as the Klosslands which houses a limestone cave system.
Flora and Fauna[]
Ajan Kloss is covered in various species of plants and creatures but lacks the presence of vicious carnivores, allowing the creatures that do exist to thrive. It is home to the non-sentient creature known as the Arboreal Zymod.
