The All Terrain Scout Transport, also known as the AT-ST, was a bipedal walker used by the Galactic Empire.
Description[]
The AT-ST was armed with medium laser cannons mounted on its chin, as well as weapon pods mounted on each side of the cockpit.
It came in several variants. One model had a truncated cockpit, longer legs and different weaponry. There was also a Mark III model that was used by veteran crews.
The walker was versatile and could perform many different assignments, ranging from reconnaissance and patrols to anti-infantry and acting as an escort for other vehicles.
History[]
The Galactic Empire utilized these walker models in several battles, including the Battle of Hoth and the Battle of Endor. They were suited for assignments where the larger AT-AT walker had difficulty maneuvering, like the thick underbrush of a forest.
