The All Terrain Tactical Enforcer, also known as the AT-TE, was a six-legged walker first used by the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars, and later the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War.
Description[]
The AT-TE was the predecessor to the AT-AT used by the Galactic Empire, and was very similar to this Imperial-era walker, in terms of appearance.
It was armed with a mass driver turret, as well as six laser cannons for anti-personnel use. Four of the cannons faced the front, while the last two covered the rear of the vehicle. The walker was used to carry squads of soldiers, as well as act like a main battle tank.
As seen several times during the Clone Wars, the AT-TE could fight in zero-gravity environments, being able to attack enemy starships in space while on an asteroid. Its ability to cling to difficult surfaces using a suction-effect in its feet, enabled the AT-TE to even climb up vertical mountain-sides on planetary surfaces, as seen during the Battle of Teth.
The walker was also highly customizable, as seen with one model of AT-TE modified by a group of clone outcasts in the years before the Galactic Civil War on the planet Seelos. This individual walker tank had an added upper deck and a electronic tow cable used for hunting Joopas on the planet. It even allowed for a small shuttle fighter to land on the rear of this deck and travel with the walker.
Several variant designs were employed by the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars, including a mobile command unit which exchanged troop-carrying for command and control logistics. Another model could carry two AT-RT scout walkers in the cargo area. Upon deployment, the smaller walkers would drop down from the rear of the AT-TE in a specialized lift.

Imperial AT-TE walkers, AT-AT walkers, AT-ST walkers, and AT-ACT walkers fight against rebel forces in the kuat drive yards
The Galactic Empire also kept a few old Clone Wars era AT-TE walkers at Kuat Drive Yards during the Galactic Civil War and would use them to fight against an rebel squad of B-wings, Blade Squadron, when they attacked the drive yard.
