Note: This article is based on a multiplayer map on Battlefront II Assault on Theed was a large-scale assault on the city of Theed. The Confederacy of Independent Systems assaulted the city sometime during the Clone Wars and the Galactic Republic sent Clone Troopers and Republic forces to defend the capital of Naboo.

It can be determined that this battle happens after the Clone Wars episode "Shadow Warrior" because General Grievous is only then planning his attack on Theed...at that time with the aid of the Gungan Grand Army. The fact that the Clones are also in Phase II armor limits it to after the Battle of Mon Cala which is shortly before this. It can be assumed that following Grievous's capture and then return to the Separatist, they went ahead with the attack without the help of the Gungans although this can not be fully confirmed and the battle could take place at any time after the Battle of Mon Cala. This article leaves out heroes such as Darth Maul and Rey who could not be present at this battle.
