The BTL-B Y-wing fighter-bomber was a heavy fighter and bomber utilized by the Republic Navy during the Clone Wars. The fighter featured armor plating on its y-shaped fuselage and a spherical turret where the ship's ion cannons were located. The hyperdrive unit on board the fighter allowed to operate at long ranges than other ships without needing assistance from a hyperdrive ring or carrier vessel.
