A boarding craft was a type of vessel meant for boarding ships. Imperial boarding craft were carried aboard a Imperial I-class Star Destroyer.

Droch-class boarding craft were used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars.
Like the TIE/LN starfighters, Imperial boarding craft were launched from the Star Destroyer's ventral hangar.
Behind the Scenes[]
Concept art for an Imperial boarding craft design was made for the first Star Wars film, but never made it into the film itself. The design was recycled for the TIE bomber and Needa's shuttle in the second film.
