During the Clone Wars, General Grievous orcestrated a bombing on Coruscant's central power distribution grid. Count Dooku planned the attack to interrupt the Confederate-Republic peace initiative. He sent Demolition droids to the grid who killed the guards and took out the power from the large sections of Coruscant.
