Cassio Tagge was a male human who served in the ground forces of the Galactic Empire. A member of the influential Tagge Family and so affiliated with TaggeCo, he became both one of the Joint Chiefs, holding the position of Chief of the Imperial Army, and a Major General. General Tagge strongly opposed Governor Tarkin's garnering of support for the Death Star, resulting in him being promoted to Grand General and simultaneously elevated to Supreme Commander by Emperor Palpatine. In his new capacity, Grand General Tagge oversaw the Imperial Forces' efforts against the Rebellion, relying on logistics and enforcement by Doctor Cylo due to his poor working relationship with the Emperor's Fist, Darth Vader. His misplaced trust would bring his downfall, as the rogue scientist almost brought defeat in the War on Shu-Torun and attempted to hijack the Executor, resulting in the Grand General's demotion and relinquishing of command to the Emperor's apprentice. Though General Tagge tried to explain himself, the intolerant Lord Vader choked him to death with his mortal grip for his blunders.
