Clone cold assault troopers were units of Clone Trooper specialized in fighting in cold climates, specifically in areas covered in snow. Later in the Clone Wars, Clone cold assault troopers would evolve into the Galactic Marines.
History[]
Several Clone cold assault troopers were sent to the planet Orto Plutonia during the Clone Wars to defend an Republic base on the planet, but these clones were attacked by the native Talz species. Following this, Clone cold assault troopers from the 501st Legion, along with members of the Pantoran Assembly, were sent to the planet to investigate. This would later result in a battle on the planet and short lived conflict.
