The DF.9 Turret was an anti-infantry cannon.
Description[]
The DF.9 was fixed to the ground and its turreted top could swivel on a base. It was armored and fully encompassed its operating crew. The crew could enter and exist from a side-door, as well as observe their targets through a hatch at the top. The cannon could kill entire squads of enemy soldiers, up to a distance of 16 kilometers.
History[]
It was used by the Alliance to Restore the Republic in several of their bases. The DF.9 was used at the Battle of Hoth, where they proved ineffectual against the Galactic Empire's AT-AT walkers.
