The Declaration of the Rebel Alliance marked the start of the Galactic Civil War and the formation of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Mon Mothma convinced many of the rebel cells to unite as one alliance to fight the Galactic Empire including the Phoenix rebel cell, the Lothal Resistance and the Massassi group.
