The Eta-class supply barge was a transport model used by the Galactic Empire.
Description[]
The Eta-class was similar in appearance to the Zeta-class cargo shuttle, but was much larger in scale. The Eta-class could hold multiple cargo pods, while the Zeta-class could hold only one of the same design.
History[]
Several Eta-class barges were used at the Scarif research and development center. The transports brought materials for the Empire's projects, passing through the Shield Gate. During the Battle of Scarif, an Eta-class barge passed through the gate at the same time as several Rebel starfighters passed through the gate to reach the surface in support of Rogue One. The ship went through just as the Imperial personnel on the station closed the energy shield, trapping the fighters underneath and smashing several others that had yet to pass.
