Fil was an Clone Commander who served in the Grand Army of the Republic, under Jedi General Kit Fisto, during the Clone Wars. He aided Kit Fisto and his former padawan, Nadar Vib, during a mission to the planet Vassek, and would later be killed during the mission by General Grievous' pet Roggwort, Gor.

History

Clone Commander

At some point after completing his training, Fil gained the rank of Clone Trooper Commander, and as such, became leader of his own squad of fellow Jango Fett clones. Following the start of the Clone Wars in 22 BBY at the Battle of Geonosis, Fil was placed under the command of Jedi Master Kit Fisto and his padawan, Nadar Vib.

Mission to Vassek

A few months after the start of the Clone Wars, Fil would be sent to the planet Vassek alongside his clone squad, Kit Fisto, and the know Jedi Knight, Nadar Vib. The group was sent there to search for the Separatist leader, Nute Gunray, who had previously escaped Republic captivity with the aid of Asajj Ventress and the rogue Senate Commando, Argyus, over the planet Rodia.

A Trap Revealed

After arriving on the planet, Fil and his men, acompanied by the Jedi, would make their way into what they believed to be a Separatist outpost and be attacked by a squad of B1 Battle Droids, who were supposedly guarding Gunray. Following this skirmish, Fil and the Jedi would discover that the Neimoidian wasn't really there, and the Republic soldiers were lured into a trap by Count Dooku, in order to test the abilities of his "apprentice", General Grievous.

Battle with the Droid General

Shortly after this, Grievous would arrive back at his lair on Vassek, were Fil and his men decided to set an ambush for the Kaleesh cyborg, with the aid of the Jedi. This would result in a dangerous skirmish with the Droid General, as Grievous would prove difficult to fight. Fil and his men would try to bring the General to the ground while Kit Fisto and Vib tried to duel him. Though they would be able to inflict damage on Grievous, he would escape, along with killing two of Fil's clones.

Dangers of Grievous' Lair

After Grievous escaped, Fil, Fisto, Nadar, and the surviving clones made their way through Grievous' Lair, facing various perels, while outside Fil's clones, Bel and Niner, were destroyed along with their shuttle by a team of Grievous' Magnaguards. Eventually, only Fil and his two Jedi commanders remained.

Fight with Gor and Death

Being the last survivors in Grievous' lair, Fil, Fisto, and Vib made their way through the massive lair, eventually they walked into another one of Grievous' traps, being forced to fight Grievous' cyborg pet, Gor. This skirmish with the massive Roggwart would end Fil's life, as Gor would grab the Clone with its tail and crush his body into the ground, instantly killing Fil and ending his life.

Legacy

Imediently after Fil's death, Kit Fisto would quickly eliminate Gor, while Nadar Vib would swear revenge on Grievous for killing Commander Fil. It would be this lust to avenge Fil that would later end Nadar's life at the hands of Grievous and his Magnaguards.
