Frank Oz (born Frank Richard Oznowicz; born May 25, 1944) is an English-born American puppeteer, director, and actor who performed the voice of Yoda in Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, through archive footage in Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, and Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi. He also voiced the character in the two episodes Path of the Jedi and Shroud of Darkness from the first two seasons of Star Wars Rebels and in Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker.
