Grebleips was a male Asogian served in the Galactic Senate around the time of the Invasion of Naboo.
Biography[]
He was present when Senator Padmé Amidala of Naboo spoke on behalf of her people, asking for help regarding a recent invasion of her world by the Trade Federation. Then, Chancellor Finis Valorum tried to defer the motion to a committee, but Amidala decided call for a Vote of No Confidence in Valorum's leadership. After conferring amongst themselves, the Asogian senator delegation joined the fracas of the gathered Senators. The vote was ultimately successful, and Palpatine, from Naboo, was elected as Valorum's successor.
Behind the scenes[]
In the film, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, directed by Stephen Spielberg, Spielberg himself had included a character in a Yoda costume. During the production of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, George Lucas was suggested by Spielberg to include a member of E.T.'s species as a background character. As a result, three members of E.T.'s species were placed in the movie in a shot of the Galactic Senate, as an Easter egg.
