HELIOS-3D was an IG-86 series assassin droid that was a part of Cad Bane's posse in the early Clone Wars. He captured and escorted the Twi'lek Republic senator, Orn Free Taa, to a Republic security prison in order to free the gangster, Ziro the Hutt. He later returned to Bane with Ziro, and the drove the group away to safety, escaping from Coruscant security forces led by CC-1010.
