Imperial Army soldiers were Imperials trained for combat in the Imperial Army. They were not part of the Stormtrooper corps and were often part of campaign task forces and planetary defense forces.
General Maximillian Veers was an Officer that doubled as an army trooper and took part in the Battle of Hoth.
