The Imperial Assault Tank was a model of tank used by the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War.
Description[]
The Assault Tank was an upgraded version of the tank once used by Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. The tank was modified by the Empire to have stronger armor, and to allow an organic to pilot the tank, rather a battle droid like the old models of AAT.
History[]
Several tanks of this model were used by the Empire to attempt to stop a small Rebel strike team from destroying their manufacturing facilities on Cymoon 1. Despite firing on a hijacked rebel AT-AT, the tanks were ineffective, and the rebels managed to successfully destroy the Imperial Weapons Factory Alpha.
