The Imperial Dropship Transport or IDT was an Imperial gunship and troop transport.
Description[]
The IDT was similar in design to the Clone Wars-era LAAT, but more angular, typical of Imperial design. Like the LAAT, it had side-mounted doors where passengers could disembark quickly. It was armed with twin cannons.
History[]
These vehicles were used as transports for Stormtroopers. They gained infamy in the Rebel ranks for being able to insert large amounts of Stormtroopers onto the battlefield, turning the tide of battle.
