The Imperial I-class Star Destroyer was a starship class used by the Galactic Empire.
History[]
The Imperial I-class was a type of Imperial Star Destroyer in service with the Imperial Navy from at least five years after the end of the Clone Wars. The class was used as the main capital ship of the Empire, serving on the frontlines as the Empire expanded outwards into the Outer Rim Territories, reaching locations previously inaccessible to the Galactic Republic.
The Star Destroyer Devastator, which served as Darth Vader's one-time command ship, was an Imperial I-class.
