The Imperial II-class Star Destroyer, also known as an Impstar-Deuce, was an Imperial Star Destroyer model used during the Galactic Civil War that had been derived from the earlier Imperial I-class Star Destroyers.
History[]
The Avenger was an Imperial II-class Star Destroyer which was used during the Battle of Hoth.
The Star Destroyer Torment was a member of this subclass. It was captained by Lerr Duvat and sent to Naboo as part of Operation: Cinder, Emperor Palpatine's posthumous order to destroy locations that had been important to him in life and could incriminate his memory.
At Naboo, the vessel deployed a climate disruption array to scour the surface of the planet. This array was eventually destroyed by an N-1 starfighter strike team consisting of Leia Organa, Shara Bey and the Naboo Queen Sosha Soruna. They were later backed up by a New Republic task force headed by Lando Calrissian and Nien Nunb, which forced the Torment to abandon its mission.
