John Knoll (born October 6, 1962) is an American visual effects supervisor and chief creative officer at Industrial Light & Magic who worked as a visual effects supervisor for the 1997 special editions of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope and Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and a ILM executive staff for Solo: A Star Wars Story.
He also played a Flag Bearer and Lt. Rya Kirsch in The Phantom Menace and a Fire Ship Pilot and Tannon Praji in Revenge of the Sith.
