K-3PO was an 3PO series protocol droid that was used by the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. After the Battle of Yavin, K-3PO was dispatched to Echo Base on the snow planet Hoth, due to his memory banks having several battle tactics inside them. During the Battle of Hoth, K-3PO helped command rebel forces during the battle before he was destroyed. Sometime after the Battle of Hoth, the destroyed body of K-3PO could be seen in the remains of Echo Base.
