Longshot was a Republic clone trooper who was a member of the 212th Attack Battalion. He served on a mission to the CIS prison known as the Citadel, and was killed there.
History[]
Around 20 BBY, Jedi Master and Jedi High Council member Even Piell was captured by the Confederacy of Independent Systems and taken prisoner. He was transported to the Citadel, the most secure Separatist prison in existence, which was previously made specifically for holding rogue Jedi before it was taken over.
Longshot's death
Republic forces sent out a crack team of Jedi and clone troopers from the 212th and 501st to rescue him, which Longshot was part of. Longshot and his fellow troopers were carbon-frozen to get past the Separatists' fleet's life-form sensors.
After landing on the planet, the team was unfrozen and broke into the the Citadel, but the death of a trooper alerted the guards to their presence. While moving through the halls, an electric wall was activated, and the arc swept though the halls. Another trooper saw it, and told the rest of the team, but Longshot was unable to outrun it and was killed. After his death, his commanding officer yelled his name in sadness has his corpse fell to the floor. His body was left behind as the team moved on.
