Malarus was a human female and an officer in the First Order. She arrived during the Battle over a desert planet to finish off Agent Terex's forces who had gone rogue. She was about to get her Stormtroopers to shoot Poe Dameron but the pilot managed to get out of it by getting Snap Wexley to record them from above in his X-wing. Not wishing the New Republic senate to see her shoot a New Republic officer down which would start a war she let him go, taking Terex into custody.
