Morit Astarte was a male human, a son in the Astarte line. He served Cylo-IV with his twin sister Aiolin Astarte and they were trained in lightsaber combat and Cylo inserted many gadgets into their bodies to rival the Lord of the Sith Darth Vader in hope of replacing him as Sidious's right hand man.

Biography[]

Morit and Aiolin were given to Cylo as children who trained them in lightsaber combat and inserted gadgets into their hands. Along with some other projects, Cylo's intentions were to replace Darth Vader at Darth Sidious's side. At some point, Morit was given a Yellow lightsaber.

Vader[]

Darth Vader assaulted Cylo's research base shortly following the Battle of Yavin with BX-series commando droids and Doctor Aphra. Morit and Aiolin destroyed a group of the droids that had split up with Vader and the rest, believing it to be a test set for them by Cylo-IV. When they saw Vader, they immediately realised it wasn't and attacked Vader. Cylo interrupted their duel and confronted Vader who thought he had killed the scientist earlier. Cylo revealed that he was now Cylo-V rather than Cylo-IV, having activated another clone body after the other one's death. Vader lifted his lightsaber to strike down Cylo but the voice of Emperor Palpatine ordered him not to. Having had years to train up his "replacements" for Vader, Cylo was told by the Emperor that it was time to show him what he had and that it would be unwise not to impress him. Each of the apprentices including Morit and Aiolin faced off Vader while they were introduced by Cylo. Finally Cylo ordered them to fight to the death. Morit killed the Trandoshan that he thought had almost killed Vader since he wished to kill the Sith Lord himself. The Emperor told all of the contestants to stop and that they would all compete for his side. They would not be allowed to strike each other down and would serve the Empire on missions until there was only one of them left.

The Plasma Devils[]

Morit and Aiolin were assigned by Grand General to find a rebel group known as the Plasma Devils and began investigation right away. They took Stormtroopers to the underworld of Anthan Prime and attacked the pirates and droids, hoping to coax the location of the Plama Devil's base out of them. Vader and Inspector Thanoth arrived and Thanoth was appalled at the twin's behaviour, having planned to sneak in and maintain a low profile. Vader and Thanoth questioned a Nautolan named Doowan on the location of "The Dragon" and then walked up to the twins, believing that Doowan could possibly be useful in their investigation having supplied the Plasma Devils with weapons. Morit agreed and then just struck the Nautolan down with his lightsaber. The twins left to continue their investigation elsewhere.

Shu-Torun[]

Morit and Aiolin accompanied Vader and Cylo to Shu-Torun during the war there and Cylo secretly conspirated with the Ore-Barons and Ore-Dukes. He planned to destroy Vader who's vehicle was sent into the underworld during an assault on one of the Delving Citadels. Morit and Aiolin were in the vehicle and fought with Vader against the elite warriors that attacked them. Eventually, they both attacked Vader and duelled on a natural bridge over some lava. Morit told Vader that he couldn't believe that he had trusted them. Vader revealed that he never had trusted them and was waiting for them to attack at any moment. Aiolin destroyed the middle of the bridge, separating them from their target. Aiolin told her brother that she thought they would never be able to defeat Vader. Morit pushed her off the side, telling her that she wouldn't but he would. She screamed his name as she fell into the lava. Morit left Vader with and the dying Aiolin and eventually left with Cylo. Unknown to Morit, Vader had used the force to pull Aiolin out of the lava and had promised to end her pain swiftly if she told him everything. She had revealed Cylo as a traitor to the Empire and gave him evidence before he had finished her with his lightsaber.

Death[]

Morit continued to serve Cylo as he fled from Vader and his fleet. Vader eventually landed on Cylo's ship where Morit tried to convince his master to let him face the Sith Lord. Instead, Tulon Voidgazer was sent and was destroyed by Vader. Cylo took control of the Executor killing the crew with gas including Cassio Tagge. Vader landed on the ship's outside and Morit arrived to meet him, putting on space gear. They duelled and Morit told the Sith Lord that he knew it would end this way. Vader told him that he was correct before using the force to destroy him.

Legacy[]

Following Morit's death, Vader went on to finally dispatch Cylo-V and then finally Cylo-VI, finishing the Cylo campaign
