Luke Skywalker's Jedi was the restored and reformed Jedi Order, in the wake of the Great Jedi Purge and subsequent fall of the Galactic Empire. The Jedi, reduced in number to only a handful, were slowly restored, primarily under the leadership of Luke Skywalker.
After the death of Grand Master Yoda, Skywalker fulfilled his promise in rebuilding the Old Jedi Order and passing everything he had learned from his teachings. However, Luke's Jedi Temple was destroyed in a storm that killed most of his apprentices. At the same night, his nephew Ben Solo, that was one of the apprentices, sought Snoke, turning to the dark side. After the destruction of his new Jedi Order and Ben's fall, Luke Skywalker went into hiding where Rey found him years later.
History[]
Jedi Reborn[]

The corruption of Ben Solo by Snoke and the destruction of the new Jedi apprentices left Luke Skywalker's plan to restore the Jedi Order in shambles.
After the Galactic Civil War, Luke Skywalker started training 12 Jedi, one of them his nephew Ben Solo. But Ben had so much darkness within him because of Snoke's and Palpatine's corruption that Luke was tempted to kill him. Luke immediately regretted his murderous impulse and stopped, but Ben saw his uncle with the ignited lightsaber and attempted to defend himself by bringing the hut down on Luke. While Luke was unconscious, Ben witnessed the destruction of the Jedi Temple by a lightning, which killed most the apprentices. Ben fled and sought Snoke, and later joined the Knights of Ren and the First Order after killing the leader of the knights, "Ren". Meanwhile, Luke went to exile on Ahch-To and blamed himself for the death of his apprentices and Ben's fall to the dark side.

Luke's final stand at the Battle of Crait ensured the survival of the Resistance and the Jedi, at the cost of his own life.
After years of exile, Rey found and had 3 lessons with Luke before she went to try to save Ben Solo from the dark side. At the Battle of Crait, the remaining Resistance members were cornered by the First Order forces, but just when the door of their base was blasted open, Luke appeared and fought Ben. However, upon hitting his uncle with his lightsaber, Ben realized that Luke was not really there on Crait and was actually a Force projection. The real Luke was meditating and projecting himself from Ahch-To in order to distract his nephew and allow the Resistance members to escape. But doing this Force projection completely drained Luke's energy, so he died not long after.
Return of the Sith[]

Darth Sidious' survival heralded the return of the Sith and the Empire and threat to the Jedi.
After one year under Kylo Ren's leadership, the First Order and the galaxy received an audio broadcast from the presumed deceased Emperor Palpatine, who threatened retaliation and the Sith's resurgence. The transmission shifted Ren's objective from locating and destroying the remnants of the Resistance to locating and executing Darth Sidious as a threat to his rule. Ren undertook a mission on Mustafar to claim Vader's Sith wayfinder which led him to Exegol. There, he found out about the Sith Eternal and their year-long machinations and his preparations of becoming heir to the Sith legacy by Snoke, who was created by Palpatine to lead the First Order and turn him to the dark side to mold him into a master of attack and cunning. Darth Sidious revealed the ultimate culmination of his long-gestating plan of vengeance: the construction of a massive fleet of Star Destroyers each armed with planet-killing superlasers, numerous TIE daggers and legions of Sith troopers called the Final Order.
Secrets Revealed[]
Palpatine had manipulated the First Order's campaign and Snoke's actions to prepare Ren for his future as Galactic Emperor and he had passed his test by killing his master to save Rey and then usurping his position as the Supreme Leader. But he only requested the fulfilment of one mandate: kill the last Jedi apprentice Rey before she becomes a true Jedi. He also revealed Rey's heritage as his granddaughter through her father, who was Palpatine's clone. Kylo Ren pretended to accept the partnership since he had other plans in mind. He did not intend to kill Rey, and now armed with the full knowledge of her heritage, he intended to use this information to convince Rey to join him in order for them to usurp Palpatine together, and then claim the Sith Eternal's fleet and the Throne of the Sith for themselves. Because of his position as the Supreme Leader, Kylo refused to serve another master. He felt no loyalty towards the Sith Eternal or subservient to Darth Sidious' wishes, despite his wish to restore the Sith and fulfill his grandfather's legacy.
The Last Duel[]

The final duel between the last Jedi Rey and her dyad counterpart, the dark warrior Kylo Ren, resulted in his return to the light side.
Eventually, Kylo Ren's pursue after Rey led him to the ruins of the second Death Star, where they had their final duel. In a moment of fury, Rey mortally impaled her opponent who was distracted upon sensing his mother's death through the Force, and then instantly regretted this action after being brought back from her rage because of Leia's demise. Not only she had attacked Kylo in blind rage going against the Jedi teachings but also fatally wounded a person that she had grow to deeply care about and realized that she did not wish him dead. Rey then used the knowlege she learned from the sacred Jedi texts to save Kylo's life with Force healing at the cost of a large amount of her own life-force.
Afterwards, a confused Kylo Ren reflected on why Rey would save him and was then faced with a vision of his father. Kylo accepted both his parents' and Rey' love and forgiveness and finally decided to cut ties with the dark side, reclaiming his old identity as Ben Solo before leaving the Death Star ruins with the sole goal to save Rey from Palpatine on Exegol.
Downfall of the Sith[]

The Jedi apprentice Rey stood together with the former dark warrior Ben Solo against the Emperor.
While Ben Solo abandoned the dark side and the First Order, the Sith Eternal began their conquest by giving Allegiant General Enric Pryde command of the Final Order. Rey confronted the Emperor on Exegol in his throne room and was nearly swayed to the dark side by the imminent destruction of the Resistance who followed her to Exegol. But she was helped by the restored Ben Solo, who went there to save her after receiving love from her and his parents. Their combined power defeated the Sovereign Protectors and the Knights of Ren with the Skywalker lightsabers.

Rey, with the aid of Ben Solo, and the Resistance, reinforced by the citizens' fleet, vanquished the Emperor and defeated the Final Order on Exegol.
After learning that Ben and Rey are a dyad in the Force, Palpatine siphoned their life-force to rejuvenate his frail cloned body and reclaim his mantle as Galactic Emperor. At the same time, the outnumbered Resistance received aid against the Sith Eternal fleet in the form of a massive citizens' fleet from all over the galaxy which began targetting the planet-killing cannons of the Sith Star Destroyers. At the same time, Rey, with the aid of the past Jedi, vanquished the Emperor and his followers by turning his own Force lightning against him with both Luke and Leia's lightsabers, which destroyed the entire Sith Citadel. Sidious' death cost Rey her life, but she was revived Ben Solo, whom she passionately kissed before he vanished in her arms.
Without the reinforcements from the Final Order and inspired by the victory at the Battle of Exegol, the First Order was met with attacks in the form of uprisings all over the galaxy. After the celebrations on Ajan Kloss, Rey ultimately renounced her dark heritage and adopted the Skywalker surname after burying their lightsabers in the Lars homestead, thus, she will continue the legacy of the Skywalkers and the Jedi.
