Orn Free Taa was the Senator of Ryloth in the Galactic Senate of the Galactic Republic and later in the Imperial Senate of the Galactic Empire.

Biography[]

Early Years[]

Orn Free Taa was born on Ryloth prior to the Invasion of Naboo. He eventually became the Senator of Ryloth. He had two aides: an unidentfied Twi'lek female and another Twi'lek female called Pampy.

Invasion of Naboo[]

In 32 BBY, Naboo was invaded by the Trade Federation in protest of taxation of trade routes. Taa was present with his aides when Queen Amidala of the Naboo went to the Senate for help, but Finis Valorum asked for a commission. Amidala then called for a Vote of No Confidence. Taa stood up, indicating that he agreed with Amidala. Soon, Palpatine was elected to Valorum's place.

The Separatist Crisis[]

Soon, his unidentified aide was replaced by Supi, another Twi'lek female. He was also a Loyalist and was one of the Loyalists chosen to be in the Loyalist Committee. In 22 BBY, Taa and his aides attended a Loyalist Committee meeting in Palpatine's office. Soon, the Clone Wars broke out.

The Clone Wars[]

In 19 BBY, Palpatine was kidnapped and Jedi Master Obi Wan Kenobi and Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker came to rescue him. Taa was one of the many to greet Palpatine to the Senate shortly after. While they were heading back, Junior Representative Jar Jar Binks stepped on his cloak and he told Binks to "watch it." He was later present when Palpatine announced that the Galactic Republic would turn into the Galactic Empire and the Galactic Senate would be turned into the Imperial Senate.
