Passel Argente was a Koorivar and the Magistrate of the Corporate Alliance that allied with the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. He was a Senator of the Republic during the Blockade of Naboo and joined the Separatist right before the Battle of Geonosis. At the end of the war, he was on Mustafar and was killed along with every other Separatist Leader on the Council by Darth Vader.
Biography[]
After being employed by the Corporate Alliance, Passel Argente rose through the ranks, eventually becoming leader. Argente was among the leaders of corporations who went to Geonosis to leave the Galactic Republic and pledge their guilds' loyalty to the Confederacy of Independent Systems. However, shortly after Argente signed the treaty, the Republic attacked Geonosis. Argente watched the battle via hologram along with all the other Councillors. While watching the battle, Argente discussed with Tikkes. However, as the Republic got the upper hand on the battle, Argente fled the planet.
Three years later, head of the CIS, Dooku was killed and the Separatist Council (including Argente) were housed on Utapau until General Grievous shipped them to Mustafar. Later, Grievous was also killed and Nute Gunray became the head of the CIS. Darth Sidious contacted the Council and told them that Darth Vader would come and protect them. However, the Council did not know that Sidious was actually Palpatine, leader of the Republic and had been playing both sides of the war. With no further use for the Council, he secretly sent Vader to murder them. Upon Vader's arrival, Gunray greeted him but Vader proceeded to slaughter the Council. Argente was among the first to be killed. Shortly after his aide, Denaria Kee was killed, Argente and Po Nudo tried to escape with another Neimoidian aide. However, Vader caught up with them, murdered the Neimoidian before slicing Nudo and finally, decapitating Passel Argente.
Behind the Scenes[]
Before the release of the reference book Star Wars: The Visual Encyclopedia it was speculated that Argente left the senate in between the events of The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones to join the Separatist but the book states he is a Separatist sympathetic senator during the Clone Wars which confirms him part of the Republic senate during this time period. The book also confirmed his aide's name - Denaria Kee.
