Raddus

Raddus was a male Mon Calamari from Mon Cala. He was an advisor to King Lee-Char during the Age of the Empire and then later an Admiral in the Alliance to Restore the Republic. He gave commands during the Battle of Scarif and witnessed the Death Star begin an explosion on the planet. Raddus later died when his flagship, the Profundity, was destroyed at the end of the battle.

Trivia[]

It has been confirmed that Raddus is from the polar regions of Mon Cala in contrast to Admiral Ackbar who is nearer to the equator. This is why Raddus is blue/grey and Ackbar is Red.
In Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, the main Resistance command ship under the command of Ackbar is called the Raddus.
Raddus is inspired by the famous Winston Churchill, the prime minister of the United Kingdom during WW2.
