Ralph Angus McQuarrie (June 13, 1929 – March 3, 2012) was an American conceptual designer and illustrator who worked as a production illustrator, planet and satellite artist, matte artist, design consultant, and a conceptual artist for Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
He also portrayed General McQuarrie in The Empire Strikes Back.
