Rampart was a Human male who served as a Vice Admiral in the naval forces of the Galactic Empire. The early days of the New Order would see Admiral Rampart trying to make himself as indispensable as possible, quickly gaining the approval of Governor Tarkin. He spearheaded a campaign to issue chain codes to all galactic citizens and was a major proponent of Project War Mantle. As part of his initiative to gradually replace cloned soldiers with regular human conscripts, Admiral Rampart oversaw the training of these recruits and destroyed the Kaminoan facilities in Kamino, as well as assigned a group of the new Elite Squad Troopers under the command of Commander "Crosshair" to hunt down the Bad Batch.
