The Redemption was a EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate in the Alliance Fleet.
History[]
The Redemption served as a medical frigate. It was on board this vessel that Luke Skywalker was fitted with a prosthetic hand after losing his real hand in a duel with Darth Vader. It was later used as a support ship during the Battle of Endor.
