Reeks were large, muscular quadrupeds native to the planet Ylesia. Though naturally herbivores, a starved reek could become a ravenous meat-eater and change its skin color to a deep red, while on other worlds they could be brown, gray, or sometimes yellow. The ones that were bred in the Petranaki arena, by the Geonosians were purposely fed meat in order to increase their overall aggression.

Petranaki Arena[]
At least one Reek was used in Petranaki Arena during the attempt execution of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala. It was later shot to death by Jango Fett when it tried to impale him shortly prior to the bounty hunter's death at the hands of Mace Windu's lightsaber.
Battle of Saleucami[]
Reeks were also found on the planet Saleucami, and one such beast was used as a mount by General Grievous.
