Rotta was the Hutt son of Jabba Desilijic Tiure and member of his criminal empire on Tatooine. During the Clone Wars, Rotta was kidnapped by the Confederacy of Independent Systems and taken to the jungle planet Teth as an hostage of Asajj Ventress until he was rescued by forces of the Grand Army of the Republic.
Upon being rescue, Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and his new palawan, Ahsoka Tano, would take Rotta back to his father in his palace on Tatooine. He would stay at Jabba's palace for the rest of the Clone Wars, but it is unknown what happened to the Huttlet after the rise of the Galactic Empire.
