Rune Haako

Rune Haako was a Neimoidian Settlement Officer, lieutenant and an aide to Nute Gunray, the Viceroy of the Trade Federation. He served the Viceroy during the Blockade of Naboo, the Battle of Geonosis and towards the end of the Clone Wars on Utapau and Mustafar. He, along with the whole Separatist Council would later be killed by Darth Vader on the Lava planet.

Biography[]

Naboo Crisis[]

Rune Haako served as the Settlement Officer and aide to Viceroy Nute Gunray during the Blockade and Invasion of Naboo. Haako and Gunray waited on a Trade Federation battleship for Chancellor Finis Valorum's ambassadors to arrive and negotiate with Gunray and Haako to end the blockade over Naboo. However, Gunray's protocal droid, TC-14 alerted them that the ambassadors were Jedi. Haako and Gunray tried to have them killed but the two escaped off the ship,

The Federation began invading Naboo and they took over the entire planet with quick succession. However, Queen Padmé Amidala and Quarsh Panaka managed to capture Haako and Gunray in the throne room of Theed Royal Palace.

The Clone Wars[]

The Battle of Geonosis[]

Ten years later, Haako accompanied Gunray to the planet Geonosis, where they pledged the Federation's support to the Confederacy of Independent Systems. However, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and Amidala were all lurking around the droid factory and the newly formed Separatist Council managed to capture them.

Haako and Gunray attended the execution of Amidala, Skywalker and Kenobi with Count Dooku, Jango Fett, Boba Fett and Poggle the Lesser. However, the execution was stopped by Mace Windu, hundreds of Jedi, Yoda and the new Clone trooper army of the Galactic Republic.

Haako and Gunray retreated into the War Room where they watched the First Battle of Geonosis via hologram. Haako declared to Gunray that they needed the Federation's starships back into space. The two then marched off and fled the planet, watching the Federation's ships entering space.

Final Days of the Clone Wars[]

After three years of war, the Separatist Alliance was in retreat and Count Dooku had been killed by Skywalker. The Separatist Council was hiding on Utapau and on their secret ally, Darth Sidious' orders, General Grievous (the new leader of the Separatists) had the Council moved to Mustafar.

Shortly after arriving on Mustafar, an Order to have all the Jedi wiped out spread across the clones, who killed almost all the Jedi they had served alongside. After Grievous' death at the hands of Kenobi, Gunray became the new leader of the Separatists. Sidious (who was Chancellor Palpatine and had been pulling the strings of the war the whole time) contacted the Council, telling them that Darth Vader (formerly known as Anakin Skywalker) was going to arrive and make peace with them.

Death[]

Upon Vader's arrival, Gunray greeted him but the cloaked figure sealed the exits, ignited his lightsaber and started to kill the Council. Realised that they were betrayed, the leaders all prayed for mercy. Haako and Wat Tambor ran into the conference room after watching Rute Gunnay get killed. Vader entered the room and killed both Haako and Tambor, before killing Gunray and ending the war.
