A Sentinel-class landing craft, or Sentinel-class shuttle, was a shuttle design used by the Galactic Empire.
Description[]
The Sentinel-class was a larger shuttle design that could carry troops and cargo. Like the Lambda-class T-4a shuttle, it had three stabilizer wings. One on top and two along the sides, behind the main hold. These latter two folded up when landed, just like the Lambda-class's.
The Sentinel-class was used to carry troops across both orbital and interstellar distances, being equipped with a hyperdrive. It could attach itself to a larger cargo crate to carry heavier vehicles into battle.
The Sentinel-class had two different models, one with two and one with four landing legs. The two-legged variant also had a different dorsal fin and cockpit-design.

The Sentinel-class was a prized target for Rebel troops, as they used the craft to infiltrate Imperial bases and starships.
Landing craft of this type were used to carry Stormtroopers and dewbacks into the Tatooine desert and the spaceport of Mos Eisley to search for the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO, custodians of plans for the first Death Star.
