The Confederacy of Independent Systems, also known as the Separatist Alliance, or the Separatist State was an unrecognized collection of star systems and corporate titans that left the Galactic Republic and fought for independence against the Republic’s clone armies and Jedi Order. The charismatic former Jedi Count Dooku was the Confederacy’s political leader, while its military power came from credits and assets donated by powerful galactic trade groups.

The Alliance was actually a tool of Darth Sidious, who had engineered the Clone Wars as part of a Sith plot to rule the galaxy with the Separatist defeat at the end of the war was preordained. to which it leaders were executed on Mustafar, and the trade groups that had supported the cause became part of the new Galactic Empire.

History[]

Separatist Crisis[]

With the Republic slowly falling into a million peices there were many worlds that were straight up done with the corruption, and fed up with being treated like trash while the core worlds were treated like proper worlds and like they were special while all the worlds in the other regions were treated like bread baskets and like they were inanimate objects, and that called for Dooku who dilivered the taxis adress and criticized the bloated, ineffective and unfair Republic

Clone Wars[]

Imperial Era[]

Agamar Holdout

In the aftermath of the Clone Wars, with no central government remaining; the Confederacy was leaderless and over time became known as Separatist holdouts in the following years as the last of any kind of leadership (mostly military) resisted Imperial efforts to wipe them completely out.

Elements of the Imperial Navy began mounting excursions into Separatist-held space as early as 18 BBY. However, as the campaign progressed, planetary populations of former Separatist worlds, dissatisfied with the Empire's perceived lack of reconstructive action in the aftermath of the Clone Wars, added to the holdouts, further swelling their numbers to dangerous levels. Shipyards like the one over Kartoosh, just outside of the Western Reaches, supported Imperial star destroyers fighting in the operations, serving as repair hubs for starships damaged in engagements with Separatists as well as salvage yards for captured Separatist vessels.
