Yaddle was a female Jedi Master on the high council during the Blockade of Naboo. She was the same species as Yoda.

History[]

Born in the year 509 BBY, Yaddle was trained in the ways of the force at a young age as a Jedi Padawan Learner. She eventually graduated as a Jedi Knight. She was promoted to the rank of master at some point and trained fellow Jedi Oppo Rancisis who joined her side at the Jedi High Council upon reaching the rank of Master himself. During the Invasion of Naboo, Yaddle attended council meetings on the matter and was present when Qui-Gon Jinn brought the boy Anakin Skywalker before the council and they refused to let him be trained. This decision was later reversed after Qui-Gon's death at the hands of Darth Maul.

Yaddle was no longer part of the Jedi council during the Clone Wars, Jedi Master Shaak Ti taking her seat.

Trivia[]

  • Yaddle is the only other individual of this species apart from Yoda and Grogu to ever make an appearance. There are similarities to Even Piell's species the Lannik but they are confirmed not to be this species. The species and homeworld of Yoda and Yaddle will continue to remain a mystery.
  • Unlike Yoda, Yaddle is only a young 477 years old!
  • As a female version of Yoda, Yaddle sports a topknot and hair, something that Yoda seemingly lacks. Yoda has only a small amount of gray hair but due to his incredible age, he may have had more hair in his youth.
