Zeta-class shuttle ROUVG

The Zeta-class cargo shuttle, also known as the Zeta-class Heavy Cargo Shuttle, was an Imperial transport.

Description[]

This shuttle design had four wings that could fold up upon landing. It carried cargo in an orange container below the main body. The shuttle was armed with four twin-cannons. The cockpit design could have been inspiration for First Order vehicles.

During the Partisans's attack on an Empire refinery in Kashyyyk, the Padawan Jedi Cal Kestis, who had stolen an AT-AT during the confrontation, helped Saw Gerrera and his allies to move forward and destroyed a Zeta-class Heavy Cargo Shuttle with the walker. The walker was destroyed when the shuttle crashed into it.

The cargo shuttle was used on several Imperial planets like Eadu, Jedha and Scarif. The shuttles were escorted to and from Imperial installations by TIE/LN starfighters. One shuttle was blown up during a confrontation between Imperial forces and Rebel soldiers on the planet Scarif. Multiple shuttles were used to transport Kyber Crystals off the planet Jedha from Jedha City.

During the Jedha insurgency, hundreds of these shuttles were used during the Imperial occupation of Jedha to transport kyber crystals for the purpose of powering the Death Star's superlaser.
